Cedarfarm Ontario- 1996 Black Percheron Stallion, standing 18.0 hh. Sired by the McGee son MG's Ukiah, out of the Canadian bred mare Blackhome Junior Lyn, a granddaughter of the celebrated College Lynda. Ontario is an upheaded, modern stallion possesed of excellent, functionally correct conformation. He stands on very correct feet and legs and at 14 years of age, is very clean in all his joints. One of his most valuable assets as a breeding horse is his tremendous hip and hind leg, which he passes on with great consistency. You will look long and hard to find a Percheron stallion standing today that has as powerfully constucted a hip and loin as Ontario. He also passes on a good headset and great movement- his get have lift and curl along with a great deal of reach, fluidity and natural impulsion. Most importantly, he has- and passes on- a wonderful disposition and intelligent mind. Ontario get are incredibly smart, willing, and enjoy their work. We work and show our Ontario daughters, and while we do have a couple prima donna types (Bonnie and Julie, for instance) who much prefer cart classes to the hay rake, the mares we hit the spring plowdays with are the same ones who wear the shiny harness in July & August.
Ontario stands to outside mares here at home either by live cover or ai on farm. Please contact us for details.

In the fall of his 10th year- easy as pie, eh?
Round- check. Engaged- check. Easy- check, check, check.
Shown with Bear above and below are our dearly beloved late farm managers DLF Three Red Cinders and DLF Three Jingles. Cindy was our first Pembroke Welsh Corgi, and Jingles was one of her sons that we kept. They faithfully gaurded home and hearth from the depredations of evil beings and kept us company many hours on the tractor and in the woods.
